For the last twenty-seven years, I have devoted myself to freeing the authors in all of us by birthing one book at a time. During that time I given nearly 4,000 lectures at colleges and universities, dozens of retreats, webinars and, in general, have worked with over 60,000 aspiring authors.
My ultimate goal?
To alter the way the world writes, and in essence transforming the art form from the chore it has so often become to the loving, enjoyable, easy-to-succeed-at-form-of-expression it can be.
As an example of just how easy, fast, efficient and successful writing can be, the average student at one of my Write Your Book in 8 Days Retreats finishes his/her book in five days and lands over twenty literary agents who are interested in potentially representing his/her work before the week is out.

Why is it so important to me to change the way the world writes and publishes?
Because my vast experience has shown me that it 1) just doesn’t have to be that hard and 2) anyone can do it.
Why has it become so important to me that every who wants to write be offered the opportunity to do so.
Because my experience has taught me that everyone who has a desire to write also has a divine message to share through their writing, even if that message is just to make someone laugh or smile.
Do I believe that everyone has a book inside them?
It has been my experience that everyone at one time or another, some people for sixty years, some for six minutes after a six pack of beer, feels as if they have a book inside of them. This belief is backed up by a recent article in The New York Times that stated that 81% of Americans believed that they had a book inside of them. Obviously, I felt that they were only off by 19%.
In my estimation, why is it important that everyone pursue the release of the book inside of them?
It was Aristotle who claimed that to live a full and complete life every person needed to build a home, raise a child and – yes – write a book. Why would the great Aristotle make such a claim? Because I feel that he completely understood the personal and spiritual significance of writing and book, that when one did so through the natural way provided and through which I share as well, that he/she birthed his/her true/authentic/expressionistic voice as well, the one we are all meant to share during our time here. I believe that the conveying of your message in your own, unique way and voice is a big reason for you being here.
Why books though?
A few reasons. First, when releasing a book through the natural manner that I share, it has been my experience that writers connect to something very unique and special outside of themselves, something with unlimited love and understanding and a big, big, expressive heart, and a delightful sense of humor. My experience has led me to believe this to be the Source, God, Whatever you choose to call He/She/It. Secondly, as wonderful as it can be at times, our society, for what seems like forever, has lacked the understanding to be able to aid us in discovering, embracing and then following our individual heartfelt callings and purposes. Thus, we oftentimes don’t make the choice to do so on our own until around the time of mid-life, after which we have tried so much and succeeded at so much and yet still feel empty or a longing. Since it is usually too late to start a ballet career at that time, we consider other avenues to express the messages of our truest deeper selves and, because one can literally become a writer at any age, writing all of a sudden becomes an alternative many choose to pursue.
